Residents 

Its the characters who live in Broadway Park which make it such an exciting yet hostile community. Affairs, fall outs, lies and deceit are all common place. Read on to find out just who's who and what piece of the jigsaw they are.

    Summer Howard -

Summer is the catalyst for much of the action in Broadway Park. She's the new girl of the school and the character who is followed closest. Adored by male admirers, loathed by jealous school girls, innocent and sweet Summer isn't aware of the damage and conflict she can inflict. She gets her flirtatious nature from her mother, a teacher at Broadway Park, as well as her good looks. Summer doesn't hide how she feels and is clearly a highly emotional woman. Summer keeps very few close friends and for all her good looks and sweet personality, can be viewed as a bit of a loner. The world of Broadway Park revolves firmly around her.

 

Jafooli 

Jafooli is one of Summer Howard's many admirers. A dangerous individual with a history of misbehaviour and trouble with the law, he takes Summer relationship with Lukas to heart which leads to a dangerous turn of events. Aggreived that he wasnt even given a chance by Summer, he takes drastic action to end Summer and Lukas' relationship. Hoody-clad Jafooli is somewhat of a bully, portraying a hard-man exterior, but his infatuation with Summer reveals to the audience the softer interior that he keeps painstakingly well hidden. When Jafooli is anrgy or feels aggreived, watch out, unpredictable and volatile, fireworks are certain to fly.

 Lukas Langstone - Lukas is the stereotypical lad, sporty, good looking and popular with the ladies. The male "heartbreaker" of Broadway Park, like Summer, his flirtatious nature and popularity with the ladies lands him in a lot of trouble, not least with dangerous Jafooli. Lukas incurs Jafooli's wrath due to his relationship with Summer which puts Lukas in a perilous position. While everything seems good with Summer, it is Summer's mum Blanche who catches Lukas eye. This sparks a dangerous liason with the teacher, one which Lukas seems to thrive on. His intelligence and sincerity hide his dangerous streak, a side of him which enjoys conflict, which in turn brings trouble to his doorstep.

Blanche Howard

Blanche is the mother of Summer Howard and also a teacher at Broadway Park. It is immediately evident where Summer aquired her good looks and filrty personality. Blanche, although married, is a bit of a man eater. Rumours of affairs with students and teachers alike follow Blanche like a bad smell, yet it is like water off a ducks back to this middle-aged minx. Clearly unhappy in her marriage, Blanche sets her sights firmly on Lukas Langstone despite her daughters relationship with him. Devious, flirtatious, promiscuous and seductive, Blanche is sure to set hearts fluttering around the school.

David Howard - David is a bit of an outsider at school. He is the youngest Howard and often appears to not fit in with the family. The reason for this becomes clear when David discovers adoption papers. David then has to deal with the revelation that he was adopted shortly after his birth by the Howard's. Angry, confused and deeply upset, this revelation has a massive effect on David. He distances himself from his family even more and sparks a community wide search for him when he run's away.  

 

Otis - Otis is Jafooli's best friend. Although often found attached frimly to Jafooli's side, Otis lack the aggresive and dangerous streak that Jafooli has. Otis doesnt mind showing his emotions and confides a secret to David, someone else he trusts. Otis may appear to be a hard man in the mould of Jafooli, but when you get to know him you can tell he is a lot more thoughtful and conscientious. Otis is normally the one who has to talk Jafooli out of doing stupid and reckless things.

 

Langstone Sisters

The two Langstone sisters are pretty much inseperable. They follow one another everywhere and always get into mischeif together. Younger sisters of Lukas, they go out of their way to make anyone who gets close to their brother feel very uncomfortable. They bully new girl in Lukas' like Summer a lot and revel in her failure to react. Sweet as honey to Lukas, he wont have a bad word said against them but knows nothing of their bullying antics. They get into trouble in school a lot, especially with Blanche Howard. These 2 cause trouble everywhere and also provide a lot of comedy for the show.
